alternator mounting question
i have an iron 408 with all the accories gone except the alternator. im trying to figure out a way to mount it. i have the bmr mount, but it only works with the aluminum blocks. so how are you iron lock guys doing it?

The Ohio boys had a neat alternator mount setup on their red turbo car. It was mounted to the frame rail instead of the engine block. I guess you would need to have the motor on solid mounts or a motorplate to utilize this setup.

thats the same with my block. there just doesnt seem to be a place to tap it. and i already have the block. its a 6.0 iron block. and i have the bmr bracket and tried to use it as a template, but it just doesnt seem to be enough room. ill try to take some pics tomorrow when im working on the car agin.

There is one spot on the far driver's side of the bracket that lines up with a spot that can be tapped. The center mount of the stock bracket does not have a mount on the iron block.
