The ol' white one was 3300 raceweight, I'm 200.

I'm hoping to get the black one down to 3150 with driver.

The stock internal car i have is 3080 with me in it and i didn't cut a thing off the car. that was with stock brakes too. It had a pretty much full interior in it. Basicly you have to dissasemble the entire car, Figure out only the things you must need. Then figure out how to make them lighter. Should be 120lbs lighter when i get it finished...again.

magic. haha. You just got to get creative. Then things like the k-member etc. are replaced with chromoly pieces. I built a stainless x pipe exhaust and made a muffler, the whole deal only weighs 10 lbs.

a bunch of stuff I've remade out of chromoly tubing. got rid of the wipers and made some dzus in aluminum panels to cover the holes left in the cowl. Got rid of one of the horns and cut the bracket. I took the stock radio apart and put just the face of it Back in the car. no hole sawing. I hate the way that looks, even if it is covered up.

Removing weight is not easy nor cheap. What I've spent to lighten the car up, I could have built a killer engine. Thats just not the route I wanted to go with the car. One day if it gets a new engine, the car is already setup for it and should run pretty good with the weight its at.

That's the truth. Some of the basic stuff (bolt off) is easy. When you start digging into it, it requires more work. The reduction that will set you apart from the rest of the pack will start costing you some $$$$$. There is about $3k in parts that I need to get my car to the 2700 range (2920lb right now). And that's before any cutting

Yeah, those camaros do come out skinny.

Mine weighed like 3290, 3/4 tank of gas, chrome 18s all around and fully option Z28 automatic.

Don't know how much it weighs now with T56 and some suspension upgrades.

I was thinking more along the lines of static weight vs rotating mass. Each static lb converted to a rolling mass is like 3 lbs. Given my 8lb Alumastars vs 4xlb stock wheels, that's an awful lot when converted.
