It was suppose to be a big secret but I can't just keep it secret any longer. Shawn now that the cats out the bag try and get it finished by the end of next week. I can't wait to get that monster between my frame rails!!!!

The actual truth is he's full of it. It's the new honda engine.
It's not 600"+, it's actually a 2.2 and those are smog pumps.

very cool! My 10.5 car has 672 cu. in. of dust on it. I can't wait to see that intake.

How much does the factory 454 crank weigh? I about fell over when I pulled the crank out of my last motor........ Id hate to have to pick up that bad boy...

Both those cams look nasty...

LOL. That fuel pump... 1500 GALLONS per hour. We're used to 2 255 litre per hour pumps being alot for comparison.

The wrist pins and whatnot, all that stuff is just nutty. I've seen the 1/2 shafts for cars that look smaller/less beefy then the wrist pins are


Keep the pictures coming, it's great to see the ultra wild end of things to put just how simple a 9 or 8 second build really is in comparison to that.

I know it makes everything seem so horrifically undersized and inadequate.

the problem with big-is it's heavy.The engine itself is heavy and we're trying to get as much weight off the frt as possible.The other problem is the heavy rotating asy-i'm trying to keep the engine under 8000rpm for durability.

As we discussed with rotating assy weight, I was wondering at what point the same issues become relevant.... that's some heavy hardware going in the motor.

Sounds like a fiberglass front clip, and shifting the front suspension foreward a bit might be needed to balance it out some, unless that's against the rules/goal of the car.

thats why he's going methanol...lose alot of weight with no I/C and stuff

I figured that much already.

I would love to look into that myself even with nitrous. Problem is the fuel system maintenance... seems like it would be a pita for what I want to do.
