.

If you like a challenge, then it looks & sounds like you're working on the right project.

I still say a nice 2200-2300 lb carbon fiber car with giant slicks is tough enough and all the fun I need.

Ok don't laugh at me, but what motor is a 672 made from?
Like a 383 is made from a 350 SB.

Where the hell does a 672 come from?

Probably a BBC block (like Brodix) with a 5" bore space and something like a 4.75 bore and 4.75 stroke...So it really doesn't come from a conventional type block like your thinking and you can get much bigger than 672 CI motors now if you got the $$...

Of course the red FireTurd with maybe a LT1 would be sweet too. Ed could tune it.

.

Any reason you didn't use a 5.3 crank. They are as common as a 4.00 now a days.

the block was left over from a previous project-had i been starting from all new parts it would have been a either a Brodix 5.0 or a billet 5.3 bore space engine.

like the block,i got the crank used from another project.this is more stroke than anybody else is using in a turbo application.most guys run a 4.75 stroke. This is sort of a test engine-if all works out we will build a better engine. The heads were used a well-they were a set of dyno mules from Sonny's.

budget engine

.

Hey, nothing wrong with using what you got. I thought this was all new, that's why I asked.

That's also the reason why my Pro-charger project is a 465".
I had the block & crank available, and it was a perfect fit for my sheetmetal intake.
