Default Video of my 9.90 run @ Thunder:

Thanks to Derty for putting it up on his site. He said I could post up the link, as long as it was followed up by the one where I broke the rear, so here ya go.

http://www.derty.org/events/thunders...arold_9-90.wmv

Looks like the car wanted to go sideways to the right when it launched. I know I had to correct it all day.. I wonder how much the car will gain once it is launching straight? Maybe a tenth or two?

Once it starts launching straighter, I'll bump up the nitrous

Here is where it busted:

I've got a very nice pic of that launch also, Scott took it & a few other nice ones. I'll post those up soon. Enjoy.

Yikes! Do you have an airbag back there? Talk about getting a little twisted there. Sweet pass though!

How do you go about straightening out the launch? My burn outs pull the *** end of the car to the left too. What causes that? Excuse my newbieness.

I dont know, on the burnouts the car wanted to pull to the left a few times, not every time. I wondered if it was the posi going out? Or not enough water sprayed down. It seems to be worse with the ET Drags.

Maybe one of our resident experts will chime in on why that happens. No, I dont have an air bag, yet.

It was your posi going out just like my did. Also the fact that you don't have a beefier sway bar or a bag may be an issue. But when we pull the cover off I'm willing to bet we find some real nasty crap going on in there and your posi was really part of it. It also explains your burnouts too, which is exactly what mine did before it exploded as well.

i have read alot of posts saying that the bmr drag sway bar for rear really helps a bunch for straight launches.

My car comes out straight as an arrow every time using the BMR rear drag/anti-roll bar..its idiot proof, never have to worry about car coming out funny..I would def recommend it.

Your posi could have been going out Id look at 60 times to verify that. Every time my car launched to the right my 60's were down about a tenth and i still have the stock rear so i know mine is going out.
Have you had the car scaled yet? You might want to try that, if anything having it scaled will definatly inprove your launches and times. Id take it to jeff covey at gun lake performance to have this done. The rear anti roll bar is also a good upgrade for the faster cars but id only do this if the car still launches crooked after having it scaled and or after a new rear. Dont put a band aid on a broken leg.
