I did minor trimming to get the 28x10.5S tires to fit on my car, it's not that bad. If you have an inch all the way around, you'll be fine.


There is a fix to the gear issue as well.... get a GTO gearset and just swap 1st thru 3rd. That way you have the 2.9x first gear and 2nd/3rd are in a better spot to compliment the 1st gear ratio. I talked one guy into doing it and he picked up about .2 with a h/c car from what he was running. Granted the car never hooked well enough to really use all of it, but it still went a good bit faster.

Well if you want to go faceplated you can't do it to the GTO gears. So either is a trade off.

The more I think about it I think I am going to try the M ands H 27 x 10 15 full slick and run a tube. See how much room and how that does. It has a 10.3 tread width so not real far off of the 28 x 10.5.
