Just leave the black box and plug holes that the A/C lines run to and from.

Then I believe you can keep the same idea just eliminate the box and run a block off from your delete plate.

This is based if memory serves correctly. I eliminated all of it on my car. So, take it all with a grain of salt. Just figured I would try and give an answer for you guys.

Cut the front of the box off like this...

Then cut the center plastic piece out and put some sort of metal piece or fiber glass. This is so the air can travel through and make heat. If you just cut the outside of the box off and make a cover, it won't work right.

Also, be sure to keep that small vacuum line if you want the main vents to work.

If you search the merv he has posted a lot about how he did it. Those are his pictures. I did the exact opposite and deleted my heat while retaining my air conditioning.

I just mountred the stock blower motor housing, facing up and put a heater core over it sealed to it. you don't need any ducts, or anything form the "black box" ****. rip it out, make a cover for the big hole, seal up the small holes. I made a build post of some work I did last winter I posted alot of pics of it.

I tore everything out and replaced the inside bow with a mojave heater. I think it weighs 7lbs. It gives me all the heat I need and saves a ton of space under the dash. I think they're around $150 from summit. They're in the jeep section.

Where did you mount it?
How hard is it to install?
Do you have any pictures?
Can it use stock controls?

I've seen the mojave, and mitghymouse used a blower motor form grainers. I liked useing the stock parts best, there free, the blower in nice and quite, and plugs right in with the stock plug, and the contraols work.
