m6 launch, when do I shift to 2nd gear?
m6 launch, when do I shift to 2nd gear? I am not using nitrous just yet. Practicing my launches first. Anyhow I managed to pull a 1.57 60ft time all motor, but it seems before my shift light comes on at 6600rpms like my car bogs and I have to partially speed back up or maybe its just the front of the car coming back down, not sure. I guess what I'm asking is should I shift to 2nd gear before my front end starts coming back down even if I don't reach the 6600rpm shift point?? of course if my rpms are only at 4000rpms I'm not going to shift.

You might want to try leaving at a higher rpm...What gears are you running? Any
n20?....We need more info on the car what suspension that you have as well..
You bog because you hook....Shift when your light comes on, not before...See, you hook, bog, get speed back up, then shift...
