You have different wheels/tires from the first photo also.... If you bought or borrowed some dedicated drag wheels (prostars etc) and drag tires, you'd lose another hundred pounds or so. I weighed my 17x9/17x11 chrome ZR1's with Nitto's and compared them to the prostars and it was almost exactly 100 pounds difference.

Here is how mine sits after removing the sway bar, ac, heat, emissions, power steering, bumper supports, insulation, rear seats, etc...

Probably could stand to lose an inch and half up front and an inch in the back

Maybe an inch the front, but it looks damn good.

I would like to know how much you saved on the wheels alone. I'm trying to figure it out and I came out to:
Weigh in: 3440
-50: Gas
-25: Rear Seats
-40: Front Seat

Total: 3325

I know those are rough figures but that would mean you saved 15 lbs on the tires.

Drop the front support, and with a 1/4 tank you'd be in at roughly 3265! Not bad!

I dunno, I once clipped my toe nails and saved 1.63 lbs on the big toe nails alone.

your tires are too heavy. My welds can be lifted with one hand and the skinnies with two fingers. why takeout the passenger seat? You don't drive the car that way and becides if you put it back in whats the point. I remove nothing at the track, only swap tires, and I street drive with the welds too.

I drive my 95 periodically without the passenger seat in it. For removing 4 bolts and dropping 30 lbs it is pretty easy. I think the longest I've gone without having the passenger seat in the car is about 3 months. I was moving a lot of things and my friend's that ride in my car actually prefer it that way. They say they actually have space to sit now.

That is my final goal for my 93. I think by the time I get it operative it will be around 2850 with me in it. Then, with buying the rest of the light weight parts and putting some work in I think it'll be around 2725.

Damn that's heavy. Where did you ADD weight (I see teh cage) but what else???

I just took a customers 98 M6 Formula (fully loaded, nothing gutted), 1/4 tank of gas, nitrous bottle, and 17's, and with me in it (220 LBS) Car went 3530.

I see you have lightweight wheels, and PROBALY aftermarket suspension(ie lighter) than stock stuff, so.....where is your weight coming from????

^ Not removing a single thing from the car, iron block, adding a mild steel cage, giant stereo system, and weighing 350lbs would be my guess.

I see people complain or almost brag about how heavy their car is in threads all the time. Then, you ask them how they got it that heavy and those are the general answers.

My passenger seat weight about 40lbs, can be out within 5 mins. Unplug air line, unplug the harness un bolt 4 x 13mm bolts and done..

I know my tires are heavy. 16" rims sure beat running on 17" rims.. Less rolling resistence with my 16s...
