60' time difference between ET Streets and slicks?
I have been searching on here for the past few days looking for an answer and came up empty handed. I am looking for a set of wheels and found a set that have the MT ET Streets (not radials) mounted on them for a decent price. Originally I was going to go with a pair of slicks but have heard the ET Streets wouldn't be a bad choice, either.
What 60' times could be had with the ET Streets over the slicks? Has anyone ran both tires and if so, what difference did you notice? With the mods listed in my sig (in short, bolt ons and stall), I want to run a low 12-second ET. I'd like to hit a 11.99 but I want to be realistic for when I go to the track and not walk away disappointed.
Thanks in advance for any input.

/\ what he said, they are slicks...
With my car being a 6 speed, I dont even bother with ET Street RADIALS, I do like the ET Streets though, be sure to the the correct height tire. Some of my friends with auto cars cant seem to hook up on ET Radials, So you may be better off just going to the slick right off the bat. They will be "wobbly" on the back half of the track though

I run ET Streets (not radial) and I'm hitting 1.6s but I do have full suspension. Auto cars seems to cut better 60fts than 6 spd cars so I would not spend the extra money on full slicks. As far a a dead hook that doesn't happen for me, I always haze the tires just a little but my car is moving so it's not hurting me. Now with a stalled auto you will probably dead hook but it won't hurt you near as bad as it would a 6 spd. Normally if you dead hook a 400 to mid 450 6 spd car you will bog where the auto won't have this problem.

According to M/T, the ET Street bias-ply tires have a few more cords built into them for a slightly stiffer sidewall. I ran them for quite a few years, and switched to slicks due to needed the additional sidewall flex.
