Default Need help with rear wheels and tires?

Bout to have the car running and I need to buy some rear drag wheels and tires.
First you need to know a little about the car.
383 LT4, Maxed reved D1SC procharger, PY3600/4L80E, MWC 9/3.25's, reving to 6200-6300. This car is my daily driver and I am looking at making around 700rwhp even through the power robbing drivetrain, car probably weighs around 3400lbs with me in it.

I am thinking a 15X10 wheel out back at 26inchs tall. Was looking into the bogarts but I may go with something like an alumastar wheel? Figured since I will do both street/strip a MT drag radial tire should be used.

Any opinions are welcomed.

I would look at the Billet Specialties.

Steve are those a pretty light wheel? I have stock LT1 Brakes in the back so most wheels should fit. My rear is stock length as well, so I am curious as to what backspacing I need? If I could go wider that would be great, I figure I need all the width I can get for tire contact.

7.5" is the BS that you'll need.(i think.) 10's in the rear would look/hook very well.

Yea from a look standpoint I have always thought the T/A could get away with more tire out back since the quarters flare out more than the camaro.

Well I have played with this calculator for a short while http://www.f-body.org/gears/ and it looks like I need to run the 325/50/15 setup which is 27.79 inches tall.
With my 3.25 rear gear and my 4L80E gear ratios (2.48,1.48,1.1,.75) and a redline of 6200 in third gear in the 1/4 thats 143mph right where I think it will be.

The 275 setup (25.82 inch tall) would have me going into 4th gear crossing at 4500rpms.

I run Weld Racings new R/T series wheel. Lighter than most wheels, and built with the street and the strip in mind!

Camaro396 I have seen a few thread about your wheels when I was searching and they are sweet.
How light are those wheels? I was thinking Bogarts but not so much now.

I you don't mind me asking, but how much did you pay for those wheels?

I found a distributor on ebay that was selling them for $419 a piece shipped, then I just need to wrap them in some MT drag radials.

Those do look like a pretty sweet wheel. What do they weigh compare to Bogarts, Billet Specialties, etc?

I wish I could remember the exact weights off hand, I'll have to weigh them again when I pull them off next. They are a bit heavier than Bogarts drag wheels, being that the centers are so thick, but that's the price you pay with a wheel designed to not fail under street driving. At my shop we retail the fronts for 399.99 each and the rears for 419.99, so that price sounds about on par, free shipping is a plus!
