Default Help me get a better 60 ft!

I went to the track today with some Hoosier QTPs. They are 9.5" wide and on a 16" rim.

I cut a 1.858 60 ft on Koni/Strano Combo.

I have a 4000 stall and this is how i would run.

I burn out hold it in first gear at 6K and then roll out of the the box while burning out.

I stall it up to 1500 and then just roll the peddle down.

Can i just stab the throttle and these tires will hold? Will that yield a better 60 ft?

Does removing the front swaybar help with weight transfer?

1 Problem is those suck for drag racing.....

Exactly what 'verter are you running?

I burn out hold it in first gear at 6K and then roll out of the the box while burning out.
You could probably just leave it in D

Depends, try both...

Always.

Be prepared to tinker alot to get good times... fool with tire pressure carefully, launching techniques, etc. What kind of T/A do you have, what rear/gears, LCA's and location?

Fuddle 4000 HPS

I do leave it in D, I just burn out through first.

Stock torque arm, 3.23s, 10 bolt, BMR LCAs rubber poly bushings, on the highest bolt on LCA brackets.

Are you saying my Koni Stanos suck for drag racing? Or the tire set up?

stall to about 3k and mash the gas and go from there till you feel safe about not breaking ur stock 10 bolt but getting the best 60 ever.

us autos dont have a worry about breaking 10 bolts. We pre load them when we brake stall.

there are plenty of people running 11s with the stock 10 bolt on an auto
