I would be more impressed if they could do that with a Supercharger, instead of a Turbo. Heck it came with the S/C from the factory!!
Don't get me wrong, I am very impressed by both cars.

No, it is not. The car is a 00 Mustang (ex V6 car) that now has a 5.0L in it that is bored to 306. It has a Ford Racing cast iron A-4 block. It also runs a T88 turbo. This engine makes 1,053 hp at 6,600 rpm and 1,080 lb-ft at 5,300 rpm. All of this information was taken from the December 2003 issue of HOT ROD magazine.

I'm sure the 03 will be faster than this beast.

Holy crap there are some jealous idiots out there.

Those motors are hand assembled at FORD. They're bought brand new with warranties and everything... but hey, if convincing YOURSELVES they aren't "stock" makes you feel better about not having it so good... more power to ya.

1. The 8.99 car is special because it's got a Tremec TKO 5 speed in it. Not even close to a factory motor.

2. There is a SOHC mod motor car that's run mid 8s @ 160mph. Turbo, drag radials. This isn't the car in the link.

3. The current fastest 03 Cobra has gone 9.54 @ 144mph. Untouched, FACTORY long block. Kenne Bell and some nitrous. Along with an 8.8, automatic, and all the safety gizmos.

4. There is a car very similar that's run 9.9 @ 142mph on the IRS. Nitrous Pete.

Doubt all you want. Bitch all you want about what it was built with at the FORD factory. Complain all you want about "they HAD to use a power adder". Cry me a river... Fact is, you can go buy one of these things off a showroom floor and make SICK SICK power (reliably might I add) without ever cracking open the valve covers. THAT is impressive.
