Default drag radials or slicks

when i went to the track i spun like crazy on my 315 street tires. wanted to know if i should go with mt et streets or mt drag radials for my stock 16 x 8 rims. was thinking...

26 x 10.5 r16 et streets or
255/50 16 drag radials

i have 415 rwhp in a a4 373 also on stock 10 bolt

Being an auto you can easily go with the radial. Bias is a bit more forgiving, but radials will be your best and fastest bet as long as you can hook.

im going to assume that your car is set up for street as well. that being the case, I think the radials should do you good, if youre going to use them on the street as well.

if the weather at your track was cold..that would contribute to the spin factor

If this is for track only use put a bias ply on the car. If you're not on the hardcore drag suspenison that will be a TON more forgiving to the chassis setup, and will get you a better result then the radial will.

Radials are nice don't get me wrong, but you'll find it easier for the occasional track trip to be successful on the bias ply tire then you would on a radial.

The way I like to think of it is radials will give you 100% performance 50% of the time. Bias will give you 95% performance 95% of the time. Radials can be hard to hook with from what I understand. Bias will hook regardless of the situation with almost no questions asked.

RTCTTFMF!!!!!!!!! WHERE'S THE CONFUSION???

J/K, but if your willing to put the work into suspension tuning the the radial is the deal, but if your just going to the track ocasionally and swap tires the slicks are best. But also consider the slicks may hook harder causing you to bust the already weak 10 bolt, while something like a nitto of bfg radial wont hook half as hard it will improve your 60 way more than a street tire and may save you rear for a little while.

I have ran both the M/T ET Slicks and ET Streets with my Automatic car. I cut consistent 1.65's with the Slicks and when I switched to ET Streets I cut consistent 1.56's. Both tires were brand new when I used them and no other changes were made to the car. You have a little more rwhp than me but I have 390rwtq which is probaly similar to you and the Radials dead hook every single time I use them even on stock shocks and lowering springs.
