Here is the rules thread.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=712079

These are the official rules and classes for the "CLASH OF THE TITANS" Tuner shootout , presented by Cartek. The event will be held at

http://www.carolinadragway.com

It will happen on Sunday February 22nd 2004 . Racing starts at 9am sharp. Also, Don't forget the day before (Saturday) there will be a National Corvette Challenge bracket race which will include a Quick-8 heads up race , this will take place during the daytime and will be a good opportunity for Shootout competitors to get familiar with the track , the track will also have there regular Saturday night test and tune session under the lights . This should make for a great weekend of racing.

General rules: All bolt-ons currently available to the public are allowed (This includes all pulley's, water pumps, mass-airs, headers, air intakes, throttle bodies. Short belts or no belts will be allowed in all classes.
There will be a 75.00 entry fee per car if paid in advance, or 125.00 if you pay at the gate. Spectators will be charged 15.00 , kids under age 12 will be free. Any tuner or Vendor or individual who would like to be a sponsor can contact me through IM or e-mail at tekvette@aol.com.

1. All cars must be IHRA legal for their ET and MPH.

Time permitting , the top two cars with the lowest qualifying ET in each class can race heads up(first to the finish line wins) on a pro-tree for King of the Hill honors. Please mail your entry fee with your name , class and which tuner you're representing to Cartek at 63 South Avenue Garwood, NJ 07027. Make check out to Cartek , and put "Tuner Shootout " as a memo at the bottom of your check , Any Tuners, Vendors , or individuals that would like to be supporting sponsors contact me to discuss fees . I already have verbal commitments from the VetteDoctors, ECS , Lingenfelter , and Vararam for sponsorship. I will be contacting other vendors/tuners in the next few days for additonal sponsors, the sponsor money is all going to cash payouts for each class. Thanks in advance to the above shops for stepping up. Also, If anyone would like to step up and organize a class for C1-C4 Vettes feel free to do so , you'll be responsible for coordinating those cars the day of the shootout , I just don't have enough time to include them right now , I will say that the classes for the C1-C4'need to be kept to a minimum of two , like one for Naturally Aspirated and one Power Adder , otherwise we'll have too many classes.
