gattors 99ta when you cut 3" off each side. did you do a mini tub or how did you get the wheels in that far? if not, what size tires. the only reason i running these tires are i got them both for $200 new so i couldn't pass them up and i heard the 7.5 bs is what i want on a f body. are people running smaller tire like 10.5 max but im running 13.5 and there close as hell to the inside so thats my issue

go read this entire post. go to reply #2
no mini tub. i run 325/50/15 m/t radials. they are equivalant to 28x12.5 tires. they just dont grow. requires some cutting and beating around the bump stop area.
do a search b/c its been talked about to exhaustion, including in this own post!

would a 15x10 with 5.5" BS on a rear narrowed 3"? would that have to be mini tubbed and would it be a bad idea to run a 1/2"-1" spacer to get it to clear and possition it where it needs to be?

A 5.5 BS will need the rear narrowed 2 inches to sit in the stock location, if you are going for a tough look, a 3 inch chop will pull the rims in 1 inch, but that will need a minitub for sure to get the tires to clear I'm sure. 2.5 inch chop with that bs would be perfect.
I am NOT a fan of wheel spacers at all.. those things IMO are just asking for trouble. If you have a set of wheels the spacers were welded onto, that's different, but the loose spacer I don't like one bit.
The 3 inch narrow, if you already have the rear, will work with a 5.5 BS rim, it's just going to sit in the wheel well, and require the minitub, as well as offset control arms for sure. Probably look really badass like that, especially if you lower the car enough to sit down over the tire like that, which would be possible with the tire pulled in a full inch I think,

Im kinda lost of Backspacings. I just got my rear bogarts. Theya re 15x10s and I just told Steve to make them fit a rear that was 2 1/2in shorter each side. I get them and they measure 5.5. Is this going to stick half in in farther than stock or in the stock location???

Yeah Iv already started cutting and beating..just to get ahead of the game..still waiting on the rearend..I was hoping they would set flush with the quarter but I guess its a good thing if it ever sqauts..but I just dont like a tucked wheel that much unless its a race car!

I run 15x10s with 6.5bs on my Trans Am with stock length Moser 12 bolt...
I got a great price on them so I decided to give them a try they don't rub and I think they look good

15x10 with 5.5 look very nice with a narrowed rear like above though...
