They will most certainly get flat spots if you leave them on the car with the weight of the vehicle on them. I found that out this fall while starting my H/C swap. I put the rear end on jack stands and inflated them to the Max PSI. Seemed to take most of the flat spots out. I was so mad! They only had three passes on them! As for delaying the hardening process, I`d say keep them out of extreme cold or dry heat. (like laying buy a heater or furnace.)
