Default Some ladder bar questions

Im swapping to a 8.8 and a PG. Here's Why im wanting to swap

1) No longer have TA mounting points. The crossmembers for the tranny that have the mount for the TA are 250$. And the mounts on the Axles are pricey and difficult.

2) The autofab kit i plan on running Looks amazing as far as quality and running it with the front cross member and diagonal link is about 450$ total.

3) Saves the money on having to buy a sway bar.

4) I just want to be a little different.

Has anyone swapped a 4th gen to ladder bars that has pics?

Any other input would be nice on the swap. Looking for a lil direction before i order it all.

The problem with ladder bars on these cars is that the bars are so long you have to cut into the rear seat foot well to get the clearance you need.

When i talked to autofab about it they said i wouldnt have to cut into the floor pan?

Have you ever seen their kit? It looks like great quality to me.

I know your a pro when it comes to hooking up these cars so if i ask questions im not arguing just learning and trying to set my car up for me.

your going to have to cut out where your feet are, as well as the low area dirrectly below the seat.

Yea but that crossmember goes about 3' in front of the axle centerline which is way under the rear seat.

Does anyone have any pics? Are we really getting into hacking up the car?

I like this idea a lot better than what goes into fitting the torque arm on the 8.8 and PG

the c2005 ladder bars are very nice. I would see that you need to notch the floor to get them to fit. At least you do on a 1st and 2nd gen. I have them on both my 1st and wifes 2nd gen's.

Talked with Josh at autofab. He said their shorter street style bars would fit without floor mods. Also that the only negative was it would hit the tire harder. Which with the 325's and a powerglide should help rather than hurt.

Any thoughts? Should be a good setup. I'd have about 600$ In it using their crossmember and diagonal link. Seems like a good deal considering what I'd spend on a good tq arm LCA sway bar and panhard bar. This and SA shocks on stock springs trimmed about a coil was the plan for the rear suspension.
