Default Slicks/DR's.... AS and IC questions..

Generally speaking ofcourse, but I've done a lot of reading on various car sites about suspension plotting and what works with certain setups. Seems to be more of an emphasis on the DR since there are more heads up classes that run DR's. So I'm just wondering for the guys who have plotted their suspension what they think a slick or DR likes.

From my gathering here is how I understand it....

Slicks- longer IC (say between 40-65") and a decent AS (80-115)

DR- Short IC (30-45") and a high AS (110-140ish)

Am I wrong? I'm wondering if having say a 32" IC, ICH 8.9" and a AS of 124% on a slick is going to work or not.

Thanks. -Mark

Curious to see if the thought process is different for Stick or Transbrake car vs a footbrake car as well.

Good point. I would guess and say that for a stick/transbrake you need a a lot of instant downforce (high AS and somewhat short IC) to get the tires planted or else wheel spin occurs. For footbraking since the hit is relatively softer your IC can be longer and AS be lower and it won't affect the initial hit as much as a stick car. I could be wrong though. Actually I'd really like to hear from Madman on what he has to say.
