Default M6 Drag Tire Poll - not automatic

I have a stock weight, stock ride height M6 f-body. I do not want to modify my wheel wells. Which tire should I choose?

Suscribed.....I feel the same way. Only, I'm going to have around 550 hp to the rear wheels with a Dana 60 and all the necessary mods to the rear suspension. I'm not sure I'll even be able to hook up at all? I'm hoping for some good input here.

I don't know if MT makes a stiff sidewall slick in a 26" height. ?

To maximize your efforts, a stiff sidewall slick is recomended for a clutch car. At the very least, using inner-tubes will help stiffen the sidewall to some degree.

As for me, I only drive mine on nice days, evenings (less than 1k miles a year) as well as several Test n Tunes.

Doesn't Hoosier make a 27" slick that will fit with no Wheel Well modifications?

Dragula: sorry, not trying to hijack, just trying to contribute to the thread

I plan to use them at the track only.

96onele - no problem.

The Mickey Thompsons 26 stiff sidewall are actually 26.5.

Whats your suspension set-up, and gear ratio?

I'm gonna try like hell to get some mid 1.5s out of my pile this spring. I'm running a M6 w/4.30s and 27"x10.50 MT ET streets. I haven't run on the ET streets yet, I hope they work. I ran MT drag radials last year, the car didn't like them. Best on them was 1.76

I just put QA1 275# springs and R-series shocks up front. It has a mid-west 9, 3:90 gears with their short ta and lca's.

Cool sounds like I'm on the right track then, I just installed Strange SA's with 300# springs on the front, and I'm running a MWC short TA with MWC lca relo brkts too

If these 27" tires with 4.30s don't get me at least to the mid 1.50s, I may end up switching to 28"s with 4.56s....

I've got to stay on DOT tires though because the class I'm running at the LTXshootout requires them, so no ET drags for me. Gotta stick with ET streets, QTPs, or M&H cheater slicks.

Yes they do look good!!

Stiff Wall ET Drag. Thats what Iv heard most..I plan on an ET Street Bias Ply but I like to drive mine!

What gears do you have, more about the car would help to...

Suspension? Shocks? Heads? Cam? How many SuperChargers and or a 500 shot of Nawz?? Goals for the car? Things like that could help..

You could get a 27in tire and be running out of gear or be too low in your RPMs at the traps..Gears and Tire height play a big part in what you should run..

My car did make a couple of 1.4x 60's Saturday. I think I can get it a little lower with some tweaking.
