11.99 Set-up? Will This Work?

This past weekened I went to the track and was somewhat disappointed on my 60 ft. times. All night I was running a consistant 2.0 60ft. My car is an NBM SS M6 and I was on Nitto Drag Radials not being able to launch very well. My best time of the night was a 12.82 @ 111 MPH. I have Jet Hot Headers, SLP Loudmouth, LID, Spec Stage 3 and that's about it...

My question is do you think I will be able, or is anyone with a similar setup able to run a 11.99 with a set of gears and a 1.8 60ft. with the mods that I have?

I figure that with a 1.8 60ft. I would be shaving off .3 and would have been able to run a 12.5... Gears maybe .4 off that and thats a 12.1. Maybe some tuning and everything perfect an 11.99? What do ya'll think? Won't happen? Very possible? Or will I be stuck around 12.1, 12.2's all night? Just wondering... Might be a dumb question... Just wanted to see what ya'll think. Thanks.

you will have to get it real light.

with macs, and a pulley on drag radials i was able to run 12.29 @ 116 with a 1.90 60 foot in awesome air. raceweight was probably 3450 back then.

Gears are only worth about 0.15-0.20 seconds at the most, if you are not spinning. To get into the 11s, you need about 112 mph trap speeds at full weight, and your 60' times would have to be in the 1.55-1.60 range.

With 1.80s, you would need about 117 mph to get into the 11s.

So, you either need to invest in more power, or better launch equipment (rearend, clutch, slicks, front shocks, etc...)

Well Tony me and Johhny think that you should go with some LCA's and Brackets and then a 12 bolt and those Hal's and then some E.T. Streets and then you should be close. Then get the cam and add a POWER ADDER and you can run in the BUDLIGHT LANE.

Put a fully optioned 9 inch in the car with some 4.30 gears and some 28x11.50 ET DRAGS, a gooood driveshaft and LEAVE HARD!!!!!!!!!!

I was just thinking about doing this with my car today.(swapping to a 6 speed) and just leave on it HARD with my setup and I believe I could almost go into the 11's.... giving that I can shift farely well---- not trying to brag or talk ****
