Added a UMI Rear Drag Bar this week, Hoping to see some 1.6 60fts!! Im sure it could go better but just a good starting point!

Best Time so far.. 11.71 @ 118 with a 1.9 60ft!

Got a little over a week before the show! Pretty exicted now!

You don't want radial slicks on a stick car. You do on an automatic car. My automatic car is nearly 2/10ths quicker on radials. They don't recover worth a ****, usually once they spin, they spin. Low hp automatic cars need to dead hook and leave strictly off the converter. On really slick tracks if/when your radials won't hook is the only time you want to put bias slicks on an automatic car. I carry a set of bias slicks also, but my 60' times have to be way up around 1.50 on the radials before the bias tires are faster than the radials.

Stick cars need some wheel speed at the launch, so you want bias slicks because they recover well.

^^ I now have some Bias Plys on the turd. I was driving to and from the track with the radials its about an hr drive so I wanted Radials. Now with a trailer Bias Plys are on and Im going this weekend to see how much better I can do. The radials were fun, more of a challenge, I know it could have been done or gotten better but with Pinks soo close I dont have the time!

Man what an event!! First..I gotta say Jim from Speedtweekerz made it to the final 4 in his SS Camaro!!!! We took 3 cars from the Lake, his being one..Never thought any of us would make it and he did!! We had a blast! It was wayyyyyyyyyyy too hot but still very fun!! I ran in the high 11s and for 138* track temps..I feel pretty good! Got lots of pictures, got to see some really nice cars and some fast cars! Just a really fun event!! Jim if you read this congrats man!!

 

I'd like to see your pics. I was out there with a few buddies and one was running his HOSS. You're right about it being waaaaayyyyyy too hot. It was a good time though.

yeah i saw you drive by heading up to make your run. great car, sounds mean. it was a good show and it was cool to see 2 fbods make the final 16 and one all the way to the final 4. but you are right, it was hot as hell.
