Default Removing wiring, need ID on a part

We are pulling wiring out of the car as I type this, and I know what most of it is. My question is on the passenger rear wheel well there is a "sensor" that I want gone, but I dont know if that will cause problems later. I have pictures if you want to see what it is. The rest of that harness is all stereo which is not needed.

Thanks,
Sean

If you don't want the shock sensor working, sure. It acts w/your alarm. Sometimes too sensitive but serves a purpose.

You've got a green light for the sensor removal. Had mine out for about 3 years now.

chuck it

if you're going race wiring, the only thing you need to worry about is turning off VATs in the PCM assuming you're ditching the BCM.

FWIW I'm doing the same thing (race wiring)

I measured 20lbs of wire

I have a ton more pics and info.

SScam68, haven't seen your car in a long time, your car inspired my weight reduction, I'd love to check it out sometime, I'm also getting ready to start race wiring the car.

Thanks!

I went back to school to wrap up my masters degree and focused on some other things in life (career) but I'm finally getting back into it. I'm also not buying parts on credit card anymore, so it's taking a little longer than usual I'm right in the middle of the teardown/rebuild but as soon as I get her back together we can meet up at the track.

I have a list of the pins I removed from the PCM, but I haven't fired up the engine with the current harness. Waiting to do that before I post the info.

Some teaser pics

The key FOB functionality, courtesy lighting, VATs capability.
