Of course that would only work if I actually had the room to weld in something that big. Just a thought.
Sounds like it would be a cool set up.

Ive ordered every thing that you are showing and will be here tomorrow and it not cheep. But i think its going to be worth it in the long run. This should be a fairly simple mod. and some fab work. I appreciate the detailed pics and it makes it a lot easier to install. And im going to seal off the upper air box to.

Awesome!!!! Can't wait to see how you block off the lid. Oh btw, I also use large hose clamps at the foglight openings and on both ends of the silicon elbows. (not pictured)

The 4" polished aluminum 45* elbows with 6" tan. 35.00 each shipped. 2= 70.00
The 4" X 45* 4-ply silicone elbows coupler with 6" tan. 30.00 each. shipped 2 = 60.00
the 4" intake polished aluminum duct mounts 12.50 each shipped 2 = 25.00
The 4"X5" rubber couplers 5.00 each 2 = 10.00
grand total 165.00

I found all of this on E-bay
You can most likely find it cheaper, if you can find it in house or local parts store, The shipping on these parts was just crazy.

Looks great.

I also agree with whoever posted that it needs to be sealed and some screens over the fog light holes will help with trash on the filter.

Has anyone just ditched the airlid all together and run a 4" tube from the throttle body down to the front bumper?

I was going to do a 4" pipe down in behind my bumper and just put a cone filter in front of one of the holes. I don't have my impact bar anymore so I've got plenty of room to play with.

Digging the set-up! I did a ram air set-up on my Nova due to the closed stock flat hood, and it was worth about .07 and 3/4 mph from a 4" tall K & N filter w/ extreme top (ram air opening in place but blocked to incoming air) to the full system. The ram air scoops are next to the radiator so it gets a full blast from behind the grille and it also seems to help between round consistency as well.
