Anyone ever tried royal purples 0w-10 racing oil? Just curious did a search and nothing come up but I remember reading someone using it on here. Royal purple has a track record (well established over at bobistheoilguy) for shearing heavily. If you are going to run a race oil that pricey, go with a real POE (Polyol ester) base synthetic oil like Red Line or Motul.

A 0w-10 is way too thin for a LS motor. If you are racing it then might be ok but personally I wouldnt go any lower than a 30wt. The power gained from the lighter variant will be minimal if anything. Redlines 5w-20 has a high HTHS and specs close to a 30wt yet frees up some power. The HTHS is one of the very very important aspects you shouldnt overlook when looking at an oil.
