IS it really a necessity?

Why do people use it?

Any advantages or disadvantages?

That and in most cases it is easier to pull back, then to push forward.

Just make sure if your T-brake is on the handle to not be holding it like your grabbing it. I heard too many times launching off the brake and immediately pulling 2nd and they were holding onto the handle.

Do you want to compare it like RVMB vs FMVB?

IMO, the transbrake button should be on the steering wheel anyways.

Agreed, but with most aftermarket shifters, people utilize them that way. I like the index finger off the steering wheel too.

I had a tranny tech tell me the fluid control was better with a reverse valve body. According to him clutches will last longer and the tranny will hold more power with the RMVB. It is pretty nice to be able to shift from first to reverse without shifting through the whole gate.
