Default ok, quick question on MPH
I went to the drag strip last sunday and this is confusion the hell out of me. I ran a 13.16 @ 108.69mph with a 60ft of 2.01 and a reaction time of .1028. All of my other runs were in the same time range of 13.teens only at 105.50mph. How can I increase so much on the MPH and not touch the overall time. I even cut a 1.99 60ft time on one of the runs.

Some wheel spin can make you pick up mph. I would say you spun a bit maybe on your 1-2 shift and boosted your mph. You hooked better the other runs so you got the same et but a bit lower mph.

It could be a fluke if the rest of the runs were all 2-3 mph lower.

Both good answers, just keep running and see what she does, maybe look at a better a tire?

Your tune can effect your MPH. I get some false knock on the launch and 1-2 shift. Usually makes me drop 2-3 MPH.

Factors:

Air Quality- (DA, Temp etc)
Driver Error- (assuming a m6 and maybe short shifted) or if A4 the PCM itself short shifted
Drive train (slipping clutch/slipping trans)
Heat Soak
Spinning/Bogging

My est. it is probably weather related. Track Prep can get better, or stickier the more cars race on it but then over all DA could kill MPH especially if the car is being hot lapped.

I'll build on my earlier answer. Since the 60 foot time and e.t.s didn't change much (based on what you noted), I would look at your 1/8 mile data. Unless the MPH is up there as well on the one pass you ran the 108 mph pass on, I'm sticking to the theory of a false reading.
