this stuff should be plenty to do my entire car. im thinking i will use around 25 to 30sq feet which is roughly 7 to 8 lbs and is much cheaper than dynomat at 70 dollars shipped. then ill put some ozite carpet over the top to finish it up.

well my stock carpet was junk, and i like the look of ozite i just want something to block out some of the sound. plus it will make the crpet ly better over the wires ide think. but idk, ide be willing to add a little weight to it to get rid of that (tin can) sound.
I didn't really notice the tin can sound until I took the mat off the firewall. That made the car tinny.
As for the wires, the only ones you really have are what runs along the door sills, and that really isn't noticable, I just left the carpet a little loose there and got it glued down really good on the floor, and let the door trim hold the carpet in place, pulled it up tight, then put the panels on and screwed thru the carpet.. works pretty good.
