I have a 9" tailshaft in my LS1 car. Before it was in my car it was in a LT1 car and he did tell me that he reused his driveshaft.

As far as swapping the tailshaft, I believe you'd also have to swap the output shaft.

Ok I found an output and tailshaft for 25 bucks, so the trans I posted was gone through every winter and only has 12 passes on it since its last rebuild. It has a JW Bellhousing
Kolene steels, Red Alto, Kevlar line race bands, new pump. Also has a deeper trans pan looks like it can hold an extra quart of fluid.
Total for the trans and correct out put/tail would be 350 if I do the work.
Sound like a good deal??

What do you all think about the B&M bandit stealth shifter

Got any Converter/flexplate opinions???

Thanks for checking it out! The trans I bought has a 9" TS but I also bought a 6" and Output shaft for 25bucks just in case. Trans was behind a mid 9sec truck so it should really work good with my set up!!

Cool I hope the 9" works! LS1/LT1 use the same DS and the trans is the same length too.

I have a th350 with a 9" tail shaft...im using a stock LS1 aluminum DS. So your in good shape. As far as shifters go I freakin love my B&M Quiksilver I prefer it over the Quarter Stick.

I really like my s60 and see no reason why you wouldnt drive it on the street??
Anyways Im pretty pumped about this swap. I hope it will drop my 60ft a ton, put the car in or very close to 10s NA then spray this pig into the 9s.

I use the B&M Pro Stick shifter (Magnum grip) and I love it. I went with that one because of the interchangeable plates. If I switch from my forward valvebody to a reverse, all I have to do is swap out a $20 gate plate instead of buying a completely different shifter like some other models.
My only gripe about it is that you need to be very deliberate in squeezing or releasing the trigger when shifting. When shifting from 2-3, I squeeze the trigger and push forward, then release the entire assembly. If you're not careful and release the trigger while you're pushing forward, you can skip past 3 and go right into neutral. Never had it happen to me while driving, but it was something I noticed when I first started feeling the gears out. That's why I always hold the trigger all the way down until the shifter stops moving forward then I release everything and put my hand back on the wheel.

Ill Have RMVB so no going into neutral. The B&M Pro Bandit also has to plates incase you decided to change it up. This is what Im looking at, but I want the magnum handle
