Default 430s or 456s?

I ordered my 9" about 3 weeks ago and since then ive done alot of reading about gears for N/A cars and it seems that the general opinion is 4.56s and that it makes coming out of the hole waaaay easier.
Here will be my setup once the rear end is installed my setup:
forged 347
MS4
stock 241s (soon to be replaced with prc 215s)
ls6 intake (soon to be replaced with 102/102 combo)
twin disc center force
3.5" aluminum pst driveshaft
MWC 9" 35 spline axles and a wavetrac
adj panhard
anti roll bar
adj lcas with lca relo kit
DA strange coilovers in the rear (rear spring rate unknown, Eric at MWC said hed hook me up with the right rates)
on 295/45/17 (29x11.5-17)

so what do you guys say? im kinda at the point where i either have to take the 430s i ordered or call him and get them changed like asap lol

if you have 456s whats it like driving them in town? car is a weekend worrior and may eventually get a 200-400 shot

4.56s FTW!!! I have 4.30s with a 28" tire and I wish I would've went with 4.56s. I trapped 121-122 last year and still had plenty of gear left.

Yes I drive my car on the street as much as possible. 65-70mph in 6th gear is right around 1800-2000rpm with my 26" tall street tires. I plan on moving to the MT 295/45/17 next year on the street with should help even more. Btw the car drives great around town too.

SAME!

been 128.5 and no shiftlight (6500)
remeber 28" ETdrags, and slicks grow to 29 if thats the tire you run for kill mode, over your DR (dont think your going to be to be hitting it with that much on 17 Drs,) check out my build thread I put some incar 5-7min vids driving 40-55mph 4:30s are mellow on 28s

And 4:30 is around the the cutoff for 3:73-4:30 sizes and then you have to change carrier to go 4:56- 5:88 range So need to make a call soon to change it beofre they build the rearend.

4:56s all the way! Wouldnt think twice!

MS4 Cam, LS6 Heads, Spooled 12 Bolt 4:56s here.. With a 28in tire its awesome! Car responds soo well. I drive my car A LOT with a 28x13.5x15 ET Street. As long as its not raining I drive it almost daily with the 28s on. I had radials on it thought I could make them work..

Your going to need a 15in wheel/tire combo to make it work. Look into some front shocks as well. With the right tire and suspension tuning you should be able to Leave off the limiter..Or get a 2 Step Something that make it cool and really fun!

My car has been 11.71 @ 118 on Radials with a 1.9 60ft. Now with the Bias Plys and front shocks..I dont know yet, still getting it ready to go this week and see! Full Weight AC and all drive it to and from the track an hr each way..Good numbers are just waiting for you!!

Right now the car is on a "29x11.5x17" which really measure out to 28 every time i hit it with a tape measure. Once it measured 29" but i had the tires at 30psi and they were way ballooned, i run them usually at 22 psi.

I have double adj strange coil overs coming for all 4 corners with fully adjustable suspension coming for everything also.

currently the car is running 7.4ish @ 95 in the 1.8th with cam only and 4.11s

def calling them tomorrow and getting 456s

How high are you going to spin it? How fast do you plan to go on the spray? 4.56 with a 28" tall tire isn't going to go much faster than 132mph at 7200rpm.

With my car 4.56 was great n/a but as soon as I sprayed it I was out of gear.

im currently spinning it to 6800, and it will only go up from there with heads/cam ontop of it. If i do spray it wont be for over a year more than likely so i could just buy a new center section for when i wanted to spray

I run 4.56's with 28" tires and went 132+mph hitting the 7200 limiter at the line. It was a perfect setup for me.

Now with more ponies and more RPM I should be able to do 137 with the same setup, which is where I am hoping I will be.
