Default mufflers off the header collectors...

Looking to get rid of the tsp td's and gonna go w a set of mufflers right off the header collectors, wanting the best fitting as far as clearance so i dont have to beat the underbody any, also hopefully something that will be a tad quieter than the dynamax bullets i have now...let me know how your setups are, whether clamped right to the header or some pipe extentions, pics if possible,,, thanks fellas

Here is my car with Magnaflow 4x9x14L 3" in/out off the headers. I think the video has a side view of the car to give you an idea of clearance and how loud they are. I personally liked the sound better from the Borla XR-1's I had on before.

Bullets wont fit on the driver side right off the collector without beating on the muffler or the car.

I ran 3" spiral flows which have a 4" outer dia. (i believe) right off the collector for my first exhaust setup. Sounded great, made amazing power (359/351 wheel) with just headers lid 411s and a tune.

the drone gets to you a bit on the street but at the track im sure it wouldnt make a difference

Here are the Borla XR-1 3" in/out Oval mufflers. They are a little louder than the Magnaflow's, but in IMOP they sound better.

Here is an old video of the XR-1's at the track.

Z28/2002, any pics of the ground clearance?

How is the interior sound? I'm considering doing this.

I'll have to look through some of my pictures but I doubt I have any with the bullets.

The car currently has no exhaust only open Kooks, I'm too lazy to put the mufflers back on(I like it with open headers to tell you the truth).

When I get the one chambers back on I'll get some pics

CHRRRIS

I didn't think the bullets were that loud inside the car but everyone has different tastes. You damn sure aren't able to talk on the phone while driving though. The link below is to my YouTube page and all the videos of my CETA are with the bullets on it like the pic I posted

I have true duals and Im considering this also for weight reduction and clearance issues. I have an H-pipe on the true duals. Is it better powerwise to keep the H-pipe and put the mufflers behind it or just lose the H-pipe?
