Default Putting in harness?????

Im putting in a Simpson harness. What did you guys do with the factory seatbelt or if you removed it how did you go about removing the part that goes into the head liner???? I really dont feel like taking all the interior panels out.

I removed both of them entirely. The part in the headliner is held in by two bolts. You'll need to pull the headliner down a bit to access the bolts. I can't remember if removing the B-pillars was necessary or not, but I took them out. They come out very easily.

I left mine in and just tucked the seatbelts in behind the b pillars. Just incase I need to put them back in bcz the harness's arn't DOT approved and my car is mostly street driven.

Thanks guys! Looks like the panels will be coming out. Im removing the DS completely and leaving the PS belt. Just wish I did this B4 the roll bar, makes pulling panels 10x easier.

I pulled all the stock stuff out, The 5 points "I think? " would be safer with no airbags, and the rollbar then the stock belts? So now you have to wear the harness everytime. The camlock is easy. Olny bad thing I dont think the harness think about for a DD, and 5-7K a summer. The tags wore off after one summer, the stiching wore right thu.. I keep ithe SFI tag in the glovebox for tech

Ya right beofre the hoop hot welded for the final time my buddy pointed out its gona be a bitch to get the belts out of the headliner, so I pulled them right then.
Never had a problem with police or inspection guys about the DOT thing.
