Default deleting BCM?

okay so ive been searching and searchign and got no answers in the electronics section so i figured id ask here.

My BCM is shot and rather than fix it im just going to take it out. I dont care about the interior lights and i dont have a key fob anyways. I would like to keep my power windows and i heard all you have to do is give one of the brown wires a 12V source or something and they will still work.

anyone have experience or know where there is a write up for any of this?

i know that there is a way to delete the BMC and keep the power windows if you supply a wire with power.

thanks for the starter relay

check yellowbullet for the windows. I think you need 2 relays per window on one dual switch for it to be correct. But I know I read about guys doing it with one relay, alot simpler. And just more " I just did it and it works for the last 3 year", to the ele. guys saying you "need
" the 2 relays for the way the stock motor need to be controlled

incorrect

the windows have their own controller box. You just need to find the brown wire and provide a 12V source.

The ground is on the post on the lower part of the dash, drivers side. Just above the hood release.

I've posted detailed pics on here in several threads.

i was about 200% sure thats all it took for the windows.

it would be easier just to solder a couple of points on it, took my about an hour to get it out and do the solder fix.

i currently dont have the dash in the car with the BCM and interior wiring harness laying on the floor. I doubt it will take me much more than 30 minutes after i tune the VATS out
