How true is Density Altitude and drag racing?

The last time I looked at my buddies weather station at the track compared to what dragtimes said I think it was around 400-600 off from the actual "At the track DA"

Could vary though. I wouldn't rely on it 100%, thats for sure. I know in 2100(-+)DA I'll run a 6.98-7.02 all day and in 3000(-+)DA I'll run around a 7.15.

Like everyone else is saying these so many more variables than just DA.

I ran those pressures when I was bolt-on only. Should have mentioned that.

Density altitude is just as important and has the same effect on power levels as your actual altitude.

I have used the calculators from many places and by far this one seems to be the closest.... My track altitude is based at 2400' add the DA and it comes to 3k-5800 at times We did have a 1700' DA night last march but i could not run
