Hey man, Havent been on here in awhile. Not much has happened to the car we had a week of 40+ degrees, plus work is around at the moment.

Looking to make some progress this weekend.

Hey guys. Been awhile since I updated this. The car hasn't been touched for a couple of years now. I uncovered it yesterday, gonna put the motor back in again and put it back together enough to put it in storage for a couple of months while my new shed gets finished up. Ill get some new rims and tires for when it comes back to mock the rear for the exact wheel and tire combo. Gonna look at some 12 ves for the rear with some 30 inch tires.
Anyone with pics of there wheel set up, feel free to post them up for ideas. Looking for something double beadlocked.

Pulled the motor back out again to finish up the drivers side upper a arm mounting tube. Patched it back up were I cut back to far, ready to button it all up. Here's what went on.

Sander engineering 15x12 double beadlock with a 4.5 inch backspace.

The rear was narrowed 6.5 inches per side and lower control arms moved inwards, Wishbone replaced the panhard rod, frame notched in pretty far

Thanks JL. Looking tough Man!
My 10 inch rims are tucked in about as far as yours. I'm only mini tubed and no rail cutting. Lower control arms moved inboard. Diff narrowed 5 inches a side.
I might need to stick with 10 or elevens if I leave ride height and stance how it is mocked at the moment.
I will do some more measuring before I order anything!

Don't need to have a 12 inch wheel but it does spread the tire out a bit and help stop a bit of growth.

Small update for anyone following. Squared the rearend enough to roll it out and trailer it into storage for a bit. I mocked a bit over 5 inch bs ozzie wheel, still got about a finger clear.

Made some set height shockers out of some chromolly to keep ride height consistant and a quick panhard rod mount to square it up, it flexes some but will be satisfactory to move the car.

My 10inch rim which measures 3 3/4 bs and 7 1/2 mocked at ride height and squared away. So ill talk to my wheel shop on Monday, I'm going to get these ozzie rims cut and widend to move the car on. Just don't know what size. A 12 will be close.
Also noticed I can bring my shocks in probably 1/4 of an inch in the body to plumb them out, you can notice it in the pic. So I might retub for a little more clearance. This wont happen until the car come back in a few months.

Couldn't wait any- longer for the guy to get the 12 inch outers. Went with 10s on a 4 inch bs.

I will give you all better measurements on fitting 12s with the wolf mini tubs soon, since there is a fair bit of interest in fitting 12s.

I did not have any idea there was a strictly a build page. I feel like I have been missing out for a while. Also in my sig I have a link to my dyno video. Please check it out. Any type of criticism is more than welcome!

Just popped through... still got my car fixing to get back to it soon. The new shed is nearly complete... going to be completely different to work on the car this time with the lift being in. I hope you guys are all well. Hey JL... your probably been out running numbers already and ready for a rebuild...lol.

PS... I have been thinking about the car whilst not working on it and have a new longcare bumpsteer measurer sitting there ready.

I did finish the car, and wrecked it resting last November. It’s fixable and am putting funds together to do that along with a good 400 lbs of weight reduction I didn’t initially do.

Sucks but that’s racing, advise I have for anyone putting something g together.... take your time getting used to it. No matter how fast you’ve gone if you step the program up, don’t try to get after it until YOU are comfortable... if I had done this I’d probably not be rebuilding. Tried to get after it just too soon. My own fault.

**** happens. Working on taking a couple other things done and out of the way first should be buying parts this fall.

Going to do some things a little different, after running it some we found a couple things that would make life a lot easier so some changes will happen, and the weight ended up a lot higher than I expected so that’s being addressed at the same time. Should drop 300 lbs at a min off, which will help a lot.

It already had shown a shitload of potential, on just a single 82 pill it went a mid 5.4 at over 140 to the 1/8th and I had a TON left on that pill for tuneup to go before it was clean and mean, the plugs had zero heat in them and still had a decent fuel ring. I think by the time I got that cleaned up the rest of the way, and got the 60 a bit better with some additions suspension changes and power management it had a good .2 and 2 mph in the 1/8th to go. 300 lbs lighter, with that same tuneup clean and getting it to 60 like it should, probably a mid to low 5.teen.... way more than I need for the 8.50 index

And old man fogger hasn’t even been touched yet, and I have a variety of pills for that... some in the high 40’s I’ll wventually try out once I have a handle on the power and can step it up to them.......

Once it’s fixed it should go pretty good!
