Yeah... I bet!

My wheel nuts came in, nice pieces there mc guard 1/ 2 inch for the fronts. So the car is finally back on the ground sitting on its own weight.

Got to do some measurements now and so on and I can now check out my dummy rack mods, always plenty to do. I'll get a few pics up!

Guys got some pics........ sorry for the mess, I got alot going on.
This shows the mock up of the steering arms.

Under her own weight again

This is what I came up with to mock a backspace with my old wheels

So for anyone interested, as it sits the crank centre line is at 12 3/4 inches from the ground. So Im waiting on a balancer and we'll get it down just above the kmember now, so like 11 inches. Which will be optimun.

The start of the wale tail

Hey guys, got some little things on the go; the wale tail is nearly finished up.... some damn long welds there. I have started the x for the door bars, im fabricating a new panhard rod mount to square up the diff. My super damper came in, so crank has been mocked in the block to check position on the k member, then I can square away the driveline. I will already have to modify my new gearbox mount as it now sits alittle to high.

Anyway catch ya.

Thought id update this abit, a couple of new pics......

Guys this is now what im seeing as a possible problem, can anyone with more fabrication experience see any issues with my firewall bars.

After looking at turbostangjon and eddies bars, im a little worried about tire clearance at the front of the fender the bar sits through maybe an inch or so.

Here are some pics to help describe what im seeing....

Thanks guys, FUEL were you been my man......... have you got any video yet???

Hope your well JL!

Ok, first thanks TubostangJon for your help.

Did another mock up with the bars sitting in place, seems that I have plenty of room between the bar and tire, even at full lock.

I don't think that im sitting as low as a lot of you guys, I still have stock spindles. I have a good inch or so before my a arm will hit the strut tower and I have 3 inches or so to spare between my forward bar. I will get up some pics soon.

Catch ya.

Ok, first pics of the wheel mock up checking tire clearance, with no rotors at full lock....

Just the passenger through bar to notch and finish them both up!

Thanks guys.

Ok, got both forward bars ready to go now.

Now gona do some more trimming of the strut, back to the marking and patch it back in to my strut support bar which will now bolt my upper a arm in also.

Need to machine up the slugs to weld to the support bars and finish it up. Like the other side im doing most of the patching before I weld in the bars.

Any thoughts guys.......

Guys, got the drivers strut all metal finished and the through bar all tacked up.

I finally got all of the brace work off in the engine bay and cleaned it all up. I pulled the dash again from mocking up the x's, and the driver seat back out. I hope to get the interior back in today, to mock some through firewall gussets.

Next step will be to pull the motor again, and finish up a lot of the bay stuff and add the strut tower and upper a- arm support. This way I can check measure easy to make sure both sides match.
Then ill finish up mocking the driveline and finish up the firewall......yeah, yeah, I here ya still plenty to go!

Catch ya.

Got the dash back in.
Put the driver fender back on and put the hood back on, think I may try finish up mounting the corners before I pull the engine........ just nice to get rid of the bracework and see the motor again and also beble to put the hood on!

The damn corners are a job!

Got to try find some shorter fastners before I continue to much, I need about 3 mm smaller dzues or taller springs to get the job done...... there just some old junk tabs and dzues I had around!

A couple of pics......
