Hey guys, got some stuff done yesterday!! I did a dummy fitup of the doors, guards, t tops and the dash.....

All door gaps are perfect as they were previously. I think Im going to need to add a front T top gap marryer to meet the winshield. Added a plate and welded up the ariel hole.

Still got to do the filler cap.

Reinstalled the dash and plastics, quite a time consuming job, but it's done now!!

I still want to dummy the rear bar aswell, cut it ou around the shoot mount, but one day at a time..... atleast it looks almost like a car again!!!

Thanks guys, catch ya.

Bet you cant wait for that nasty motor!!!! I wish I was ready for a motor!!

I did get the rear bar on and cut around the shoot though...

Still a few more things I want to try back in, before I pull it all apart again.

I was running 28x 12.5's ets but I was still concerned about how clse they ran to the body. But I would like to clearence the arch to run a 30x 12.5 or 10 just depends on how they fit, and I feel more comfortable with more clearence down low as it was a real tight spot. Im going to do the rear bar aswell as the tin behind. I think I might have a photo of the tight spot somewhere!!!

I hope to get some things done on it this weekend, I have my new upper a arm olts and k member bolts now so I can dummy up my front end..... at last!!
My new kmember is on the water and my burkhart bumper support is with it... cant wait to get them both. My new hood and hatch arrived at the shipping yard this week, so I should have it by christmas.... which sounds perfect to me. I cant wait!!!

I went and saw my new Aussie engine yesterday.... man there draggin there feet!!! But here it is as it sits

I hope they pull there finger out and get it done soon!!!!
Anyway, catch ya.

Hey man, it is a fuel injected Holden 5.0 letre stroker.

I have tried to dummy the new front end, Does anyone know where I can get replacement srut tops.... I suppose you call them for my new coilovers???? I cannot reuse the old ones as I damaged them trying to remove them from the old rusty shock.

We're building our 99 TA again.

Old setup was a C5R 427 ci streetcar that went 10.2 at 129mph or so.

New setup -built for the street and X275 class
10 point by Halls custom
427ci resleeved LS2 from Shawn at Virginia speed
TFS/TEA 235 6 bolt heads from TEA
88mm turbo
T400 fully built from RPM
Yank 3400 stall
Midwest 9"
All BMR suspension

Will post pics when we are almost done so it isn't dragged out.

Don

Hope to get abit done on the guards today, I however did weld the two skins back together ready for the new lip to go on.

Thanks Dennis!!! However...... I wish it was finished it is now a month overdue!! I suppose all good things take time.

Thanks fuel!! Front end dummy up, was looking at the pic of the upper mount again..... I think that I still need to run the rubber top mounts. That is what I need to find. Those fabbed steel mounts are sexy though. The new front end impressed the boys to no end on sat night!!!

I got one side of the wheel arch done, just going to trim the inside edge a little to meet the old lip.

Anyway's, catch ya.
