Default a different th400 question

i recently swapped from a t56 to a 400. my question is in the tune. did anyone else have to change anything in there mph versus rpm tables as far as when the car is shifting? i was shifting the car around 6600 with the m6. now i have to set the shift light to 6k and when it comes on its damn near on the limiter which is set at 6800. i am thinking the computer is still seeing that i am reaching either the mph or the rpm when it should be shifted and is cutting on the limiter, according to the gear and tire calculator at 6k in 3rd gear i should be at 122 mph. when i cross the stripe in the 1/8th the shift light is coming on and im only trapping 102. any thoughts?
