Question Lug nuts torque spec

How much should I torque my drag wheels lug nuts? I’ve got 12mm x 1.50 RH - 3.250” L studs

We torque the rears @ 100 and the fronts @ 75. That should be plenty for your car.

Wow, on that small of a stud? I only torque my 1/2 studs to 70lbs on the rear and 62lbs in the front.

I torqued my old 5/8s to 90lbs.

yes theyr Weld Pro Stars. but i believe it is the thread, pitch and length of a bolt or stud is what indicates the required torque value; not the brand of the wheel !

Honestly, for the smaller studs, you could do 75 all the way around, but we like that little extra for the back just to be safe.

We're probabaly running the same studs.. Just stock replacement, extended ARP studs. I torque mine to 100ft/lbs and never had any trouble.

GM specifies 100 lb ft for stock 12mm studs.

Here's a pic of 12mm studs at 100ft-lbs with too much traction at 70mph....
