Default Decent(Cheap) Wheel Tire Combo?

whats a cheap but decent wheel and tire setup? I'm pretty much bolt ons for

drag wheels and putting street ets'..I have 18x10.5 in the rear right now and

dont wan't to throw radials on them rather do it on a much smaller wheel

Check out JEGS or Summit. They both have a series of wheels for pretty cheap. I got a set of 15x8's for about $100 each. They are heavier than a good racing wheel but they are a good cheap alternative.

don't forget racestar industries. they are fairly cheap and light, and fit with minimal or no grinding of stock brakes.

I picked up a set of Centerline Convo Pros, already had rubber on them 165 Metric Tire up front, and M/T ET Street Radials 275/50-15.

The Rims 15 x 4 and 15 x 8 + rubber, 2 sets of lugs, mounted and had good life left on them, I paid 500$

The whole setup new is about 1300-1400 if you buy out of jegs and summit, and thats + shipping. Lighter then stock, not the lightest but very sturdy for the street.

I have a pair of c5 z06's already in the garage that I am not using...The catch is, one is

8.5"'s wide and the other is 9.5 " wide.. Would it be dumb to throw on some 275/40/17

mickey thompson streets e.t's on both wheels?

Yes it would be idiotic to put a set of tires on two different wheels. You would never leave straight and nothing good would come from it.

First I would look for some used ones, most of the time you can find them from this site. But I have race star industry wheels and love them. They are pretty light and will bolt right up, no grinding needed. They were a little cheaper than pro stars, and you have to grind and/or use spacers with pro stars. They look just like the greg welds.
