Alternator-only bracket?
That's what I had on my car and it worked fine, even @ 7000+rpms.
Sorry, I don't have any pictures of that old setup. Do you have any details on how you did that, or is it pretty much 'grab some bolts and wing-it' kind of mod?

Thanks!
I have the race only also. I fought with the altenator for a day or so and then found the solution. The altenator and altenator bracket stays in the stock location. I installed the tensioner pully in the idler pully location located on the altenator bracket. The altenator bracket needs to be modified a little to achieve this which means grind off some of the bracket support in that location. You'll see. You will use only 1 bolt to bolt on the tensioner pully. The tension from the belt will hold the pully in place. The belt size is 37". You will also need to grind off a portion of the lower bolt head so the belt does not rub. That's it. It works great. I'll e-mail you a pic if you are interested. This mod works great.

Looks like he just kind of flipped it around, put one bolt through it, and let tension hold the idler's bracket against the alternator's bracket. Good idea.
I might try it before the SBSO gets here.Does it bounce around much? I have a Katech idler right now, and since it's bolt-set, it doesn't bounce at all.

I dont believe it bounces. The belt doesn't come off and I shift at 7400 and I have shifted higher.
