You'd think he would quit, after the 3rd time, gettin' beat by a ricer.

Well you pussies acting like it isn't impressive should get off your retard horse and give credit where credit is due.

I an not a fan of ricers but anything that runs 10s is impressive!!!! I would take the wheelie and a slight loss any day unless money was on the line. That isn't to say the civic didn't clearly win and somewhat kick his ***. This is an awesome race and a good video.

I don't think anyone said it wasn't impressive. Just that the firebird was obviously way overpowered for the given suspension set up, and it was dangerous/silly to be racing like that.

But that's just me, last thing I'd want to do is build a car capable of 10's then run 11's because I neglected to set up the suspension properly, or wind up splitting the motor open all over the track when the nose comes back to earth.

I saw a drag car, and a wheelie comp car. Yeah the honda is a fast little **** with a tiny chassis and stout motor, certainly schooled the firebird, and I hope next time he tries to keep the nose planted LOL

The way I see it, is it probably took 3 times more money to run 10's with that civic then it would take us to run 10's. I kinda like to see how fast I can go without spending a crap load of money. Just me tho

10's are over-rated now days anyway

Seems like you're considered "slow" unless you run low 9's or quicker.

I would say 10s are still considered fast. Just somewhat common. 8-9's if fast and what 10s used to be. I know what you are saying for sure. But v-8 guys have been working on making 10s easy for around 50 years. Ricers just got into the game 15 or so years ago maybe less?

The 4 cyl sure does sound like hell. I saw a 9 sec evo at the track when I was running but wile it was cool it just sounded like ****!! No one with ***** can think pissed off bees sound good.

thats grannySShifting BTW. that was like the 3rd pass ever for that car, this was at the WorldCupNationals at MIR this year in motor street. He went a 10.33.... at 131? I believe the pass before in qualifying right off the trailer, still gettong the car setup with every pass. That's a STOCK LS1 with unported heads, hydraulic roller cam, and little 26x10 tires or 275 Drs. check out the rules, 1st year for a LS1 to fit the class, basically "cam only" STOCK longblock LS1 with heavy raceweight 3250 @ 346 cubes, and littler tires then most cars would run.
The 4cly. rules were 2400 or 2600 race weight, high compression/RPM motor.

Well that thing runs hard for a 346. Need more info on the car.
