Yea I used the sawall for the lower parts and the mini sawzall for the upper cut under the windshield. I got it at harbor frieght, they call it a "body saw", pretty nice for about $25, I was only using the fine blades because I didnt mind going slow and the cut was nice. I went through about seven blades but I made alot of cuts.

this is driving me mental. I am going carb, but I really want to keep the wipers (i like to drive to the track and I would hate to get caught in the rain, ya never know).

...I gotta figure out what i am going to do and keep it looking clean....

You can just trim the center but I think you will still need a higher hood to clear the carb and air cleaner.

Id cut it, get a vfn hood that goes to the windshield and keep some rainx just incase lol, but thats me

mine went pretty easy actually. Best thing i used to cut it was a 4.5" cut-off wheel on a grinder. It cuts it smooth and as long as u have a steady hand youll be fine. I followed along the edge from the OEM wiper access panel, along the entire side. Welded up some sheet metal on it and painted it. More info in my build link in sig....
