I agree with the good dog, mine helps with everything also, if you call it help, in the way on everything, LOL. Nice to meet you Dennis my name is Robb.
I have the engine tabs ready to weld, but I have always liked your DHRACER inner guard cutouts, so I decided to cut them away before I weld the tabs, just went to the steel shop but I missed it by 10mins and they had shut the gates. I have cut away one side and was going to get one inch by one inch anle iron to run along my rails. Rather than weld it, I have some steel here, we will see what I come up with as I want to knock the engine plate off this weekendand this will hold me up if I cnat sort it out!! Better get back out there and start the other side, I've been intouch with VFN, just waiting to here back if they do a lexen screen for the hatch.
I will post up some pics to keep you updated soon.
Keep up the good work Dennis.

Hi Dennis, glad to hear that you got away for the weekend, motor bikes are great relaxation!! I have a bike myself also but it has spent some time collecting dust lately, probably should have a look at it come to think of it.

This is my shoot mount from wolf racecraft, it may help you out with the mounting of yours. You will want to come further out off the body, but the height is similar im sure, you can adjust yours with the tail.

on the car.

I pulled the rest of my new parts out, man you will be supprised how similar our cars are!

Hope these help, keep up the good work Dennis!!

Do yourself a favor and get a Stroud chute with some kind of launcher! After watching other people at the track pack non Stroud chutes I don't know why they bother! Ours is so easy to pack, hits nice and soft (but you know its out), just fantastic. We have a spring launcher which you have to wind up, but if you needed to you can do it with one person. A air launcher would of course be even easier since you just push it back in. But to pack the chute it takes one person less than 5 min start to finish. That is winding the launcher, untangling the chute, folding it into the pouch, tying the pack, and letting the tension back out of the spring so it all ready to go. Here are some pics of our mount.

Hey Dennis, glad that I could help with the shoot. My mounting plate is 7 1/2x 7 1/2 inches. Like you said height looks very similar, I measured out from the key barrel face on the hatch and it is 6 3/4 inches, to the shoot mount. So if you add the length of your wing to the 6 3/4 that should be where you want the shoot mount to be to clear the wing.
Have you welded in your shoot lever??? I'm putting minr on my winshield bar, so its right there infront of me..
If you want anymore pics, or measurements just let me know, Im happy to help.

Broke bf have you got any picks of the wind up chute???
Catch ya.

Ill have to look when I get home, I have limited access at work. I believe there pics of it on Strouds website. Its just an aluminum cylinder that has a big spring in it. There is a nylon strap that goes through the spring to a plate that pushes the cute out. You wind the strap around a rod at the base (by turning a 15/16" nut on the side), which tensions the spring. Then you put a rod through the end to hold the plate back while you pack the chute. The Chute packs into a square pack that acts as a pilot chute when its launched. You then take that pack and just set it on the plate, fold the flaps over and put your cable though the loop (like any other chute), and then remove the rod that is holding the plate back. I watched some guys pack a Simpson chute with a spring launched pilot chute a couple weekends ago... What a pain in the ***! First off the way the chute folds up was more complicated than the Stroud. Then you needed at least two people to put it in the bag since someone has to compress the pilot chute spring while someone else folds over the flaps. They also had one person fold the chute, and another person wind the cord which could have just been the way that they do it.

Try and google packing a Stroud chute, I am pretty sure there are some videos on YouTube. Any chute is better than no chute at all, but in my opinion the Stroud is the only way to go.

The mount looks killer!!I had Stroud launchers on my promod car they work great. Timmy we are definitely going to the race.I hope you get your car worked out and make the race!!! My buddy Dave is working on getting his car done so he can run it. Its a bad *** show!!!! Robb I have been slacking on my junker this week. I had a house that I had to get done this week. I will get back to it after we get back from the beach. That mount will work good on the midplate. My Nova was done like that and it worked great. It was 588ci on two systems and I never had a problem..... till it bounced off both walls. But thats another story!!!!! Hope you get it done. Later
