Default What next?

Ok so I am trying to get an estimate here at what I'm looking at. I think I'm good on the engine and exhaust but now need to beef up the rear end and get ready to drag. Hoping for pointers on anything i'm missing and where people get their parts.

9" rear end - $1800 (guy parting his out)
4.11 gears - $ 160
Tires - $ 300
Torque arm - $ 369 (spohn)
Driveshaft 360 (spohn)
1350 Yoke U-joint 43.50
Adjustable shocks 550.00

Total = $3582.50

How close does this sound? Is there anything I can find cheaper or don't need as high dollar part? Thanks for any input.

Yea, if you dont need abs or an aluminum center you could probably get a midwest fabbed rear with the gears you want, a chromoly driveshaft with the 1350 yoke and some shocks for right around that and its all new!

give eric @ mwc chassis a call and see what a budget built rear end/suspension would cost. I know its always a lot easier when everything is from the same manufacturer and is ment to go together.

are you working toward being a track every once in a while car or a go fast drag/street race car? depending on your goals different parts are okay

What shocks, and rear only? What options on the rear end housing?

you have a good game plan going on and should have you on the right track to a well performing car. take it from our customers that do most of the talking here for us... we can get you setup with the right parts the first time, and at the best deals you will find. feel free to call us for info and a quote.

Working towards having some fun at the two local tracks during the summers and being able to beat the lil punks that think they have bad a** rice burners on the streets . I've also got a thread started in the suspension section about shocks. I'm trying to find out my options there as to what shocks I should go for.

optimum performance, especially with a M6 car, is double adjustable shocks. single adjustable will get you by, but if you can swing the extra for the doubles, then you are doing it right the first time. Strange or Afco shocks are the only way to fly.
