My buddies 273 ptc 4000 car only takes around 2200-2300 and I will bet hits harder than that yank.
Maybe I was a little over zealous in what I said. 2300-2500 sounds about right.

I just got the yank man. Hardley drove it. Just took it out tonight. Car moves at 1100 rpm. Hits super hard. Nothin wrong with the yank!

Going from a 3.23 to a 3.73 my old Edge 3200 tightened up close to 4-500 rpm on light/medium throttle.

I have a pt4000 and the 3.23 performance axle. Its fine. No problems driving it around. It just needs the right tune and it will be great. I dont lockup till 45mph on that converter.

One thing from a few races I had last night.

My pt4000 with 3.42's does not seem to have that "hammer drop" that a lot of big converters have. Part of this maybe my tune isnt all lined out down low yet. Working on that tho. But it feels more like a slingshot. I had a set of 26x10 qtp hoosiers on and the car rolled out from a dig. This felt way more controlled and easier on traction than an older combo with less power, 4.10's, and a another brand 4000 converter.

I think with the tune worked out and nearly stock suspension this converter is going to help me hurt some feelings from a dig.
