before but, maybe the first time will be this yr if i get a roll bar.been drivin bikes and vettes for years. what is my car cabale of in the quarter with mods in the sig probably round 3400ibs with me in it?

All motor, low 12's or high 11's with traction. With spray, if you can hook mid to low 11's. Its all about the traction game.

you should run mid 11's all motor with decent 60' times

deep into the 11s assuming you dont completely blow the tires off at the line.....even a mediocre 60 foot should put u in well under 12.0. what kinda tires u running?

I would shell out for some better rear tires for track use. Even a bone stock C5 M6 is hard to launch with regular tires. I'm pretty good, and can throw down a 2.0 60' on street tires, but there is one important issue:

WHEELHOP!!!

The C5's hop like a kangaroo with rabies on street tires. On the 1-2 shift it can get violent.

I'd personally recommend ET Streets and skinnies. It's safer and faster. I can take my hands off the wheel and eat some chili cheese fries all down the 1/4. Well, I get some cheese on the shift ****. Total control. My wife will not run without them. They get you spoiled.

PS - Run with car in COMP MODE, not ALL OFF. If you get loose at 1/2 track, it can save your ***. It does not affect ET's or the burnout (I've run both ways), but it can straighten the car out in a slide. I've seen several guys tag the wall running ALL OFF, and there is no need for it to happen.

PS - I've driven a 500rwhp Z06 down the 1/4mi (supercharged) on street tires. Guess what? Mid 12's. My 375rwhp car goes high 11's with the difference being tires. All the HP in the world won't make up for tires.

We got the CCW setup of tires and rims from West Coast Corvettes, or you can get ahold of John at CCW directly (he's in Florida).

I would not advise to run ET Streets in back with regular Z-rated tires in the front. The car will be harder to handle.

Stiff front tires and "loose" rear tires make the car attempt to spin about the front tires if the rear drifts. It amplifies the problem, instead of absorbing it.

I've run both ways, and I can tell you it's much better with skinnies on the front.
