Default Headers connected directly to muffler, no reply in exhaust section

Posted this in exhaust section & got no reply. Thought to try in here, as it could be more related to drag racing set ups. May be used on tracks that don't allow open headers.

Want to mount tuneable mufflers right @ the long tube collectors. Will mount O2's pre-muffler. May or may not couple the two banks w/ an H pipe. How much will be lost in exhaust pulse balancing &/or HP/TQ if no H pipe is used?
Is using a tuneable muffler (add or delete sound dampening plates that mount in the muffler pipe) too restrictive that close to the header? Could also use a standard flow through muffler (no sound dampening plates in pipe). Please comment.
