LOL

I'll probably work up to 260+ in the next year or so. I'll gladly sacrifice 100 pounds on the raceweight to keep weightlifting.

Well I drive mine everyday and have taken things out that I shouldn't because I drive it on the street. It really depends how crazy you are about going fast I guess. All I can say is I'm running 12.56@111 with less than $3200 invested in my car total, (including price of car). I am slowly making mine a track only car, just working on getting my GMC ready for my DD.

I had my 98 trans am down to 3200 with me in it, I weight 180, and besides no rear seats you couldn't help any weight reduction was done.
If you are smart about it you won't be able to tell much is gone.
You won't hit 2500 with spending a pretty penny.

I wouldn't do it for a street car, you can get down to 3400# easy and the difference from that and 3200# is very small. I would rather want a fully optioned nice car and run .1 slower. If your car isn't nice or you don't give a ****, go for it. A properly set up heavy car will outrun a poorly set up liter car.

Mine ran a 12.43 at 112 and I got less than 3k in the car incuding the car. Funnest thing I ever bought I think.

You can get to 3100 and still have a complete car with all ammenities of a dd. That's where mine is at. It takes some creative lightening skills not realy much $. If I where a drag only type street car I could get another 100# of pretty quickly.

My plans are basically take my 88 GMC Shortbed and make that my nice DD with A/C and a nice paint job, and take the camaro and make it my drag car. Everyone has different ways of making there car haul a$$ and mine just has to be gutting the hell out of it. I am just trying to go as quick as I can with very little money possible. I will eventually have to spend money on her, but as of now I still have some free weight to take out.......
