Ok, here's the deal. I've got a 98 camaro LS1. Its got LT'S, X PIPE, LID, Moser 9", and prostar slicks and skinnies. Track only car. Would it be feasible to run open headers on this track only car? Seems it would only free up power/ make my upcoming motor work easier (heads and cam etc.) Seeing as my current TD setup is all hard welded. Any input is appreciated!

In the cars I've had they like a little back pressure my car with open headers runs like a dog but with a cutout a little farther back it runs good

If you are still running O2 sensors then you will need at least 18" of pipe extending past the sensors off the collector.
